Dolly Parton is doing all she can to help the victims of wildfires in Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountains. First, she pledged to donate $1,000 a month to every family displaced by the fires. And now, she's going to get on television to ask the world to pitch in, too.

According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, the telethon will air on December 13 from Nashville, and will last three hours. A representative for Dollywood noted that they're still ironing out the rest of the details. All the proceeds will go toward Parton's charity, which she established last week for Tennessee wildfire victims.

"I know there are a lot of great events being planned to help the people of East Tennessee," Parton told Nashville music site MusicRow. "I am planning a telethon to support the 'My People Fund' where 100% of the money will help those who lost their homes in the wildfire. I am planning on doing this on Dec. 13th in Nashville, Tennessee. According to The Tennessean, Parton will also take part in a locally televised fundraiser on Friday alongside country stars like Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley.

CNN reports that 14 people have died and 134 people have been injured in the wildfires. The flames destroyed over 1,600 structures like homes, cabins, and churches. The fire damaged some cabins owned by Parton's theme park, Dollywood, but came just short of entering the park itself.

Parton's "My People" fund has already raised $1 million to get wildfire victims back on their feet. If you'd like to contribute, you can donate money at DollywoodFoundation.org.
