Gage wants to trade his old vehicle for DeSoto's sportscar.

A good episode, the first call has the fireman dispatched to a frat house where a student is choking. It turns out he has a piece of raw liver in his throat, due to a hazing. One of the frat boys is played by Stuart Goetz, who had a memorable role as Marcia's boyfriend on the classic Brady Bunch episode "The Subject Was Noses".

There is some humor when Dr. Early gets the hiccups, Bobby Troup's hiccups don't sound convincing.

Dixie gets a subplot when the hospital administrator (James Shigeta, from "Flower Drum Song") offers her a promotion to nursing supervisor.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar, at that time playing with the Milwaukee Bucks, is a car accident victim stuck in his car.

A tense final rescue has a pickup truck teetering on the edge of an open drawbridge.
