Featured review
It's Amsterdam and Douglas thinks he can win his family over by traipsing through museums.
Albie ensures that Kat joins them in Amsterdam. An altercation at breakfast means Albie leaves his parents to go travelling on his own. Connie realises that going for this one last trip was a bad idea.
The flashbacks indicate maybe Douglas and Connie might always had been doomed. Even the young Douglas was always a little uptight.
With Douglas going to Venice to find Albie. The series seemed to have perked up a bit. It does now look a like a novel coming alive on the screen.
Maybe there will be a bit more spontaneity from Douglas as he meets a fellow guest at the hotel.
Also if you want to catch your teenage son in Venice. I would have thought you might just want to hang around Piazza San Marco, The Bridge of Sighs or outside a McDonalds.
