Belle and Neal are heartbroken. Neal goes back to work in the bathing-suit factory, and as he bemoans his troubles, he unconsciously draws several figures of girls in bathing suits. The wind carries the pictures to the manager's desk and the manager thinks they are just great. Business is bad and Neal's ideas, on the paper at any rate, look good, so Neal is made designer and called upon to help the firm make money. And he does. He cuts down the bathing suits (not in price, of course) and hires some nifty models to wear and sell them. The crowds flock thick and fast and Neal struts like a sultan in the midst of the bevy of beauties. Then Belle and her mother come to view the store, and when Mother sees Neal she makes for him, thinking him an idler wasting away precious hours amidst the charms of female models. But when Neal explains that he is the "big shot" of the outfit, Mother grows effusively friendly and says he can 'ring' her 'Belle' if he wants. Whereupon Neal puts the ring on the dainty figure of the blushing Belle, while Cupid wisely shakes his head and says: "I told you so." Written by The Moving Picture Weekly See less
