The movie opens with the arrival of Oscar, a dangerous personality, to the island and his immediate befriending of Misty Muffin, a local teenager with too much time on her hands. Throw in Crazy Pete, a local madman with intimate knowledge of the forces controlling Oscar and Long on the Island reveals its mythic, eternal proportions.
