A lot of drama has emerged from the Boy Meets World cast’s podcast. From memories of predators who manipulated them to hide to recollections of what it was like to film, they’ve shared a lot.

This time, the drama erupted on the podcast itself.

An attempt to rehash and maybe smooth over old issues led to a head-to-head confrontation between Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward.

It was a tense reunion between Boy Meets World stars Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward on the latest episode of the Pod Meets World podcast.

Ward was a guest on the podcast hosted by Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Firedle, as the Boy Meets World alum talked about Season 6 of the ABC sitcom. Ward joined the show in 1998 and stayed with the series until its end in 2000.

Midway through the podcast that premiered on February 24, Fishel asked Ward, “Do you hate us?”

“No, I don’t hate you,” Ward said, adding, “I think that you hate me because you wouldn’t speak to me on Girl Meets World and that was hurtful.”

Ward was referring to the Boy Meets World spinoff sequel series, Girl Meets World, which aired on Disney Channel for three seasons. In 2013, Ward shared a photo from the set of the series alongside stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter.

In a podcast first, “Pod Meets World” included the following warning at the top of their latest episode: “This episode contains a bunch of *** language and subject matter. Please proceed with caution.”

The Feb. 23 episode featured Maitland Ward, the actor best known as Rachel McGuire on “Boy Meets World.” After visiting the “Girl Meets World” set in 2015, Ward began growing her personal brand and later went on to become an *** film star. While they did discuss that transition and her work now, it wasn’t until after that discussion that things got extremely tense.

The tone changed about 55 minutes in, when co-host Danielle Fishel asked, “Do you hate us?” Ward replied, “No, I do not hate you. I think that you hate me, because you wouldn’t speak to me on ‘Girl Meets World,’ and that was hurtful.”

From there, the pair went back and forth about their relationship through the years.

The creator of ABC‘s “Tgif” is setting the record straight.

Jim Janicek created the popular programming block back in the 1980s, and it has featured such shows as Roseanne, Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Boy Meets World and more.

While many thought it stood for “Thank God It’s Friday,” Jim reveals that the Friday night block’s acronym actually stood for something else!

Danielle Fishel has officially completed her treatment for breast cancer.

The 43-year-old Boy Meets World star confirmed she was “officially” done with treatment on her Pop Meets World podcast on Monday (January 13).

While that’s great news, she is now dealing with the painful side effects following 20 rounds of radiation.

“I am officially done with radiation,” she declared, going on to say she is “officially done with what is considered active cancer treatment.”

If you didn’t know, she revealed her diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ (Dcis), a form of breast cancer, in August of last year.

“I did 15 rounds of whole breast radiation and then five rounds of targeted radiation, which just means they focus in on the very small area where my cancer was versus treating the entire breast,” she explained.

Mike Myers says you can’t just make a catchphrase happen. “I’ve never designed a catchphrase. I just like how people talk,” Myers told Vulture late last year. “Remember ‘Get in my belly?’ That was improv. It wasn’t, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, my next catchphrase.’”

But Jaleel White says the producers of Family Matters were intent on creating a signature slogan for his Urkel character. “They tried a million darn catchphrases,” he told Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle on the Pod Meets World podcast, per People.

It took a while to get to “Did I do that?” White said — and some of the early stabs were pretty lame. “The first one that they ever tried really was Steve would just bump into inanimate objects — an end table or a lamp, knock it over and say, ‘Excuse me.’ That was it.”

Er, easy to see why that one didn’t catch on.

My first and only previous experience with WWE was a brief episode in 1990 during which my childhood neighbors, the Broders, recruited me for a letter-writing campaign to lift Hulk Hogan’s spirits.

I thought of it when Hogan sued Gawker out of existence, when he flashed his Trump-Vance tank top on the RNC stage over the summer and, really, almost anytime I see a yellow Speedo.

Netflix just launched WWE Raw as a live weekly streaming event and there were plenty of celebs in attendance for the first show!

Macaulay Culkin, Baby Reindeer‘s Richard Gadd, and Suits: LA‘s Stephen Amell were among the stars who attended the Raw event on Monday (January 6) at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Other stars included Tiffany Haddish, O’Shea Jackson Jr., David Arquette, Seth Green, Nikki Garcia, and more.

Raw first premiered back in 1993 and aired almost exclusively on USA for the last three decades. Netflix recently signed a 10-year deal with WWE to air the program and the deal has been reported to be worth $500 million per year.

The cast of Boy Meets World candidly reacts to Mr. Turner's one-sentence sendoff. Played by Anthony Tyler Quinn, the character of Jonathan Turner was important in the early seasons of the family sitcom. Danica McKellar has good news for those who didn’t like the original ending of “The Wonder Years” — things may have changed! The actor, who played Winnie Cooper on the sitcom from 1988 to 1993, opened up about how she views the controversial ending.

In the final episode, which aired May 12, 1993, the narrator revealed that Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage) and Winnie did not end up together, despite their on-again off-again relationship throughout the series. Boy Meets World actor Rider Strong recalled one particular episode that made him “very uncomfortable” and “so miserable” to film.

In a recent episode of Pod Meets World — the rewatch podcast dedicated to the ’90s sitcom co-hosted by Strong, Danielle Fishel and Will Friedle — the trio discussed an alcohol-themed episode that was eventually banned from airing by Disney for its mature content. Strong, in particular, found the episode to be a watered-down warning message about alcoholism that ended up being more of a “disservice.”

“I’m just half-assing it this entire episode,” he began. “I’m so miserable.”

Strong continued, “I was probably 17 the first time I tried alcohol, so it was probably right before this. But I remember Ben [Savage] and I talking about, like, ‘How do you play drunk?’ and having conversations about it. And he nails it. He’s so good at it.”

On Wednesday, aka the anniversary of the day in 1983 that Stranger Things’ Will Byers was taken by the Demogorgon, Netflix marked the occasion by revealing the titles of all eight episodes that will make up the beloved series’ fifth and final season. In addition to “The Crawl,” which was revealed two years ago (!), they are: “The Vanishing of,” “The Turnbow Trap,” “Sorcerer,” “Shock Jock,” “Escape From Camazotz,” “The Bridge” and “The Rightside Up.”

That last one should give fans hope that, no matter how high the death toll of the episodes, we’ll be getting at least a happy-ish ending.

For years, the two friends would have wine nights and discuss what their characters would be up to as they grew up. “We kept talking about it!” Gomez tells Variety at the “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” premiere in Los Angeles.

“It was so organic. We never felt any pressure,” Henrie says. “The original fan should know there was never a mandate to be like, ‘We have to make this show, now’s the time to make the show.’ It just came to a point where we were like, ‘Maybe we got something here.'”

The two brought their revival idea to Disney and the full-fledged reboot, “Wizards Beyond,” received a 21-episode order for its first season.

The Office actress Jenna Fischer revealed on Tuesday that she is cancer-free after undergoing treatment for a 2023 breast cancer diagnosis.

In a lengthy and heartfelt Instagram post, Fischer shared the details of her diagnosis, which came last December after a tumor was found in her left breast. She had Stage 1 triple positive breast cancer, which she noted is “aggressive” but also “highly responsive to treatment.” Though her cancer was caught early and had not spread, Fischer ultimately underwent a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiation to address the disease before it could worsen.

The Disney Channel has landed on an October 29, 2024 premiere date for the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The Wizards sequel focuses on Justin Russo, played by David Henrie, and fans can expect Selena Gomez to pop in as Alex Russo for the first episode.

Raven-Symoné and Danielle Fishel are set to return to the channel for the Wizards of Waverly Place reboot, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place — this time as directors. Danielle Fishel, known for her iconic role as Topanga on the 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World, revealed on her Pod Meets World podcast that doctors discovered breast cancer during a routine screening. However, Fishel says an early diagnosis means the 43-year-old actress is expected to fully recover.

In a recent episode, Fishel informed listeners that she was found to have Ductal carcinoma in situ (Dcis), or stage zero breast cancer. This early detection means the cancerous cells have not spread outside of the breast ducts. “They found it so early that I’m going to be fine,” assured Fishel. She plans to have surgery to remove the growth, and will work with a team of doctors to determine the best follow-up care.
