This is a true story that doesn't sugar coat the life of Jose Lucas. The viewer is given a raw look into the problems urban youth face. I was impressed with the group of actors that were pulled together for this film. They are all relatively unknown actors. They really step up to the plate and offer great performances. I would really like to see members of the gang in other films. They brought a realness to the screen. I'd bet money that we will see some of the lead actors move on to become big actors in big rolls. Great job Director Kenya Cagle in bringing this story to the screen. If you support and believe in independent film making, then you must see Brooklyn Gangster!

I had the opportunity to watch this film during its New York premiere and I was totally impressed with the story line and most of the actors (especially the Gangsters). I left the theater thinking if you're passionate enough you can create your dream on an extremely low budget. I suggest for those who have not seen the film, should!!!!! It's film making in its bare essentials. I also feel that if big Producers, Distributors and Directors were looking for talent this is the place to start. I am totally awe struck that this production team was able to do what they've done with so little money. I can only imagine if they were giving a moderate budget the magic that they would've created. Hollywood blockbusters are constantly putting out the same kind of films over and over again. I truly believe it's time for fresh faces with fresh ideas.

This is a must see drama , crime ,action Packed , fulfilling, Movie I loved this movie, Honestly .. It was Very entertaining and Jaw dropping events going on in this flick. , .. Caglevision Inc,. movie rocks ,still. I was truly blessed to be apart of this project. , It was challenging but worth every heartfelt moment. I declare Victory for this film and and any one who was attached to this project., I cant wait to see what the Filming company has in store in the near future for us . Great people , Great cast , . So dedicated in every way . I enjoyed myself also at the Red carpet world premiere which was held at 42nd street . Amc theatre seats was filled up and the crowd was enjoying themselves . YESSS..
