Cognate with Lao ຫາດ (hāt), Northern Thai ᩉᩣ᩠ᨯ, ᦠᦱᧆ (ḣaad), Shan ႁၢတ်ႇ (hàat), Tai Nüa ᥞᥣᥖᥱ (hǎat), Zhuang hat (beach) (dialectal).
